Air Bearing Centrifugal Chiller



The Xiecheng air-bearing centrifugal chiller is a water chiller unit designed with a centrifugal compressor supported by air bearings at its core. The entire series of Xiecheng air-bearing chillers meet the National Standard Energy Efficiency Grade I. Under standard working conditions, the COP can reach 7.0, and the comprehensive part-load performance coefficient can reach 11.0, featuring dual Grade I energy efficiency of GOP/IPLV. With a perfect design and high-efficiency components, the air-bearing centrifugal chiller has an energy efficiency ratio about 50% higher than that of ordinary screw units, about 25% higher than that of traditional centrifugal or VRF units, and about 6% higher than that of magnetic suspension units.

 FEATURE:

1. The air-bearing chiller uses R134a environmentally friendly refrigerant. Compared with ordinary screw chillers, it can achieve comprehensive energy saving of up to 50%, with a COP of 7.0;

2. It adopts a dynamic pressure air-bearing compressor, which operates without friction and has low mechanical loss, allowing for stable continuous start-stop operation without the need for maintenance. It uses an innovative multi-beam foil dynamic pressure air-bearing technology, with a start-stop life exceeding 250,000 times and a 10-year durable operating life;

3. The design of the two heat exchangers adopts new types of heat exchange tubes in China, combined with the system's heat exchange design and fluid simulation technology, thereby maximizing the heat exchange capacity of the two heat exchangers;

4. It uses world-class on-board variable frequency drive technology, enabling soft start of the unit and reducing the impact of starting current;

5. The control system is advanced, using the latest generation of PLC controllers to achieve precise temperature control, with the chilled water outlet temperature accuracy of ±0.1 degree.




Low Noise and Low Vibration

The air-bearing centrifugal chiller has suspended moving parts, and the high stiffness rotor system avoids long cantil evers, resulting in low vibration, low noise, and low loss. It operates quietly and is particularly suitable for applications requiring low vibration and low noise.


Low Cost and Maintenance-Free

The air-bearing centrifugal chiller does not require the replacement of lubricating oil, filters, or maintenance of the oil system. Compared with magnetic suspension systems, it does not have multiple detection sensors and other electrical components, resulting in a lower failure rate and reliable performance. Its simple structure leads to low labor costs, as well as reduced costs for installation, transportation, maintenance, and noise and vibration reduction.


Long Life and Low Failure Rate

The air-bearing centrifugal compressor has no friction and no wear, thus having a long service life.


No Performance Degradation in Oil-Free Variable Frequency Centrifugal Chiller

Unlike ordinary units that see a 20% performance decline after ten years of operation, the air-bearing centrifugal chiller's performance degradation is less than 4% after a decade, achieving long-term efficient operation.
